What counts as a billable tracker?
Each successful POST /v1/trackers call in live mode creates one tracker and adds one to your monthly count. Reads (GET), webhook deliveries, and every test-mode call are free.
How does graduated pricing work?
Each volume bracket bills at its own rate. If you create 120,000 trackers in a month, the first 25,000 bill at $0.020, the next 75,000 at $0.019, and the remaining 20,000 at $0.018 — $2,285.00 total. Crossing a tier never re-prices the trackers below it.
When am I charged?
Your usage counter resets on the 1st of each month (UTC). Shipyu generates the invoice just after the month ends and charges your default card automatically. Your dashboard shows the running count, your current tier, and the estimated bill all month.
Is there a minimum?
Invoices below $1.00 are not charged — the balance carries forward to the next month.
What do shipping labels cost?
Label purchases through the API bill at carrier cost plus a platform fee, itemized on the same monthly invoice.
Do I need a card to start?
No. Test mode is free forever and needs no card. Live mode requires a payment method on file — until then, live calls return 402 payment_method_required.
